PALM XLI Friday

Friday’s site is Lexington, a village in Sanilac County, Michigan. We ended our tour in Lexington in 2014, 2009, 2003, 2001, 1996, and 1994. It’s a great site to wrap up a week on a northern route! Your site volunteers are Joe Olenasavage, Drew Burton, and Kathy McGrath.

On Friday, we will pedal from Marlette to Lexington.

We complete the tour at Meyer Elementary, 7201 Lake St, Lexington.

This will be a short route so that we can have lunch as a group before all depart another fun week on PALM. There is no fruit stop on Friday’s route.

Friday specific details:

There is an optional parade at 11:30 a.m. before the PALM-provided lunch is served.

Those who parked at Lexington for the week, or have a ride coming to meet them, are ready to pack up after lunch. Please depart the school site by 2 p.m. but feel free to enjoy as much time as you like in Lexington before heading home.

There are no shower facilities at Lexington. There is a swimming beach on Lake Huron.

Those who parked at Norton Shores will prepare for departure after lunch, if they added the optional bus transportation. Please be sure to prepare your bicycles for transport immediately after lunch so they can be loaded, and then load your bags on the motor coach. Tentative bus departure time is 2 p.m.
