Damaris’ PALM Story

Back home in Chicago

First time on Pedal Across Lower Michigan

I just made it back from the PALM Bike Tour across Michigan — and wow, what an unforgettable journey it was! Over 250 miles of pedaling, sweating, climbing (and maybe a little complaining), but most importantly: connecting.
To everyone I met on the ride — thank you. Whether we shared miles, meals, stories, or encouragement from the sidelines, you made this experience more than just a ride. You made it a community.
From the kind folks at SAG stops to my fellow riders pushing through hills and heat, I’m grateful for every moment. Your spirit and positivity kept me going when my legs were begging me to stop.
As I stand here in the heart of Chicago, looking back on the ride, I’m full of appreciation — for new friendships, beautiful scenery, and the joy of movement. Let’s keep pedaling, pushing, and lifting each other up.
Until the next ride… THANK YOU!
